Baby Blue Ivy was only a couple of days old when her dad Jay-Z released a song in her honor, titled 'Glory.' That chart-topper may be the last tune she'll inspire for a little while, though - the rapper says he's too busy doting on his daughter to focus on music.
"I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter," Beyonce's husband tells Billboard. "I want to enjoy this time for what it is."
Jay-Z may be staying out of the studio for now, but he does have a collaboration in mind, with none other than President Barack Obama.
"I'm gonna try. I'm gonna tell you guys right now: I'm gonna give him a call and I'm gonna try to get him to perform – do a little rendition of Al Green," he said this week while talking about the 2-day Budweiser Made in America music festival scheduled for the Labor Day long weekend.
"But I doubt it," he added. "I think that opens up the political season. He'll be so far into helping the world that he probably won't have time, but I'm absolutely going to ask him."
