Disco queen Donna Summer has died after a battle with lung cancer. She was 63.
Her family released a statement, saying she died Thursday morning and that they "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy…Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time," the statement read."
Summer — who's hits include "Last Dance" and "Love to Love You Baby — had been living in Englewood, Fla., with her husband Bruce Sudano, according to the Associated Press.
According to TMZ, Summer Donna believed she contracted lung cancer by inhaling toxic particles after the 9-11.
